American Flag Cake

Every summer has its sweet moments, but nothing quite says “celebrate” like baking an American flag cake. Whether it’s for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, or just a fun bbq, it’s going to make dessert a lot more fun!

Ingredients:

  • White Cake Mix
  • Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 3 Cans White Frosting
  • Blue Food coloring Gel

Instructions:

  • Bake cakes as instructed in 9×9 round pans. You will make two red cakes, 1 blue cake, and 1 white cake.

Assembly:

  • Step 1 – place one red layer on a cake plate. Spread with frosting.
  • Step 2 – place one white layer on top or red layer. Spread with frosting.
  • Step 3 – place red layer on top of white layer. Spread with frosting.
  • Step 4 – place blue layer (with the hole in the middle) on top of red layer.
  • Step 5 – place a small white circle inside blue layer. Spread with frosting, then add the small red circle on top.
